TipsMountain bike & vacation - Part II
Part 2 - The ride (or. WaaaaaaaaHoooooooooo!!!) A daily cycle would look something like: good breakfast, prepare the bikes for today‘s run, hit the nearest chair lift and start descending a never ending single-track that slopes and switchbacks inside thick forest. The adrenaline and rush builds up to dangerous levels, it‘s just you up there with your best ride mates, you nail stuff never encountered before where you live & ride. You get to the bottom, make a stop at the nearest jam spot (one of sooo many), grab a bite or a quick pint (I know I shouldn‘t say it but it actually makes me ride better.), and hit it to the next cable run. Or alternatively, if you are the mountain goat climbing type, just set your nose up for a long challenging climbs in the friendliest assisting weather ever. Later in the afternoon you get back to the bike hotel, where you can give a good clean to yourself and the bike followed by an excellent hot dinner, and then you take it easy in the Jacuzzi or hang out with you mates to the local country pub. Now how‘s that for a daily cycle? Good thing, tomorrow you‘re up for the same stuff. Better thing, it will happen also the day after. Best thing, It goes on and on for the whole week. Can you honestly beat that??? There are too many bike resorts out there to mention, mainly in Europe and the U.S. just to name the most famous ones; that would have to be Whistler in B.C. Canada and Les-Gets in the French Alps in Europe. These 2 sites are a Mecca for bike riders all around the world but there are many others. See more info about biking in Les Gets. So next time you take some time off, don‘t leave your bike behind, they deserve all the fun you can get. Enjoy & Ride-on! More Tips:
